Trust

Your meetings stay yours.

Mochi records conversations, so this is the first thing to get right. Here is exactly what happens to your audio, your notes and your calendar, and who helps us run the service.

Recording

  • Mochi records only after you start a recording. On Mac it captures your microphone and your computer's audio, so no bot joins the call.
  • The recording screen reminds you to let participants know they're being recorded.
  • If you'd rather have a notetaker in the call, an in-call bot is available on Pro and Executive, and only when you turn it on.
  • Mochi stops by itself after 15 quiet minutes, so a forgotten recording doesn't keep running.

Your audio

  • Audio is sent to OpenAI for transcription and deleted after it's transcribed. We don't keep audio on our servers.
  • Before anything is sent to OpenAI for the first time, the app shows what is sent and asks for your permission.
  • OpenAI processes it under its API terms and data processing agreement: it doesn't use it to train models and keeps it for no more than 30 days to detect abuse.

Your notes

  • Notes, summaries and transcripts stay on your devices and in your Mochi account until you delete them or your account.
  • Notes are private until you share them: by link, to a team folder, or to an app you connect.
  • Apps you connect, like Claude or ChatGPT, can only read, and only after you approve them. You can disconnect one at any time.
  • We don't sell your data, use it for advertising or use it to train AI models.

Your calendar

Mochi reads your busy times and meeting details to offer free slots and link notes to the right meeting, and writes only the events booked through your pages. Gmail is optional and read-only, for briefs. You can disconnect Google or Microsoft at any time.

Protection

  • Encryption in transit (HTTPS) everywhere, and encrypted storage at our database provider.
  • Access control and permissions, monitoring for unusual activity, separate environments, and backups.
  • Google data is used under the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Who helps us run Mochi

  • Vercel: hosting the website and app (Mumbai region).
  • Supabase, on AWS: the database (Mumbai region).
  • OpenAI: transcription, summaries, answers and drafts.
  • Recall.ai: the optional in-call notetaker, only when you turn it on.
  • Resend: email confirmations and reminders.
  • Freemius: payments and subscriptions.
  • Google and Microsoft: your calendar, when you connect it.

Your controls

Delete a note, a recording or your whole account in the app. Ask for a copy of your data, a correction or deletion at privacy@mochimeet.com. For security reports or a data processing agreement for your company, write to support@mochimeet.com.

Questions

Is my audio used to train AI?

No. Not by us, and not by OpenAI, which processes it under its API terms and doesn't train on it.

Does Mochi keep my recordings?

No. Audio is deleted after it's transcribed; the transcript and the notes stay in your account until you delete them.

Do the people I meet know they're recorded?

Mochi reminds you to tell them, and you decide how. With the Mac app no bot appears, so telling them is up to you; with the in-call bot, it joins the call by name.

Can we sign a DPA?

Yes. Write to support@mochimeet.com with your company's details.
